The Innovate & Connect: All-Island Oncology Industry Workshop, organized by the All-Island Cancer Research Institute (AICRI) took place on Wednesday, April 24th, at the Herbert Park Hotel in Dublin.
It featured a lineup of distinguished speakers and panelists, insights, panel discussions and the launch of a landmark Industry Ecosystem Report: Landscape Review and Economic Potential of the Oncology and Allied Digital Health Sector on the Island of Ireland, funded under InterTradeIreland’s Synergy programme.
Salutem Insights was honoured to conduct the research and produce this report, working with the project team including Rosemarie Gannon AICRI Project Manager UCD, Professor William Gallagher, UCD and Professor Mark Lawler of Queens University Belfast.
Our Managing Director Sandra Redmond launched the report and gave further insights in the panel discussion, while our Senior HTA Manager Dr. Raymond Henderson brought attendees through the detail, key learnings and recommendations from the report.
Speaking on the day, Minister Dara Calleary (Minister of State in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment), Minister Conor Murphy (Minister for the Economy, Northern Ireland) and Joe Kennedy III (United States Special Envoy for Northern Ireland) all expressed their admiration at the wealth of expertise on display at the event and stressed the value of cross-border and cross-industry collaboration to advance oncology and digital health.
